Bernice Wright Nursery School is a half day nursery program and teacher training facility operated by Syracuse University’s College of Human Services and Health Professions and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Serving children of diverse backgrounds and abilities ages two through five, the school embraces child initiated learning and inclusion. Parent participation is an important component of the program. Jowonio special education teachers, assistants and therapists work collaboratively with Bernice Wright supervising teachers and graduate and undergraduate interns. Toddlers and pre-schoolers with special needs are enrolled through the Intake Coordinator at Jowonio (315-445-4010).
