Ongoing Fundraising Activities
- Make & Take Gourmet: A Tasty Way to Support Jowonio!
Friends of Jowonio has established an ongoing fundraiser through Make & Takes Gourmet’s Cooking for Dollars program. Make and Take Gourmet is a community-based business, focusing on increasing the quality of life for their customers. Through the Cooking for Dollars program, they will help support our fundraising efforts by donating 10% of each purchase back to Jowonio.
Imagine home-cooked meals for your family without the stress of menu planning, food shopping, or preparing the ingredients. And no cleanup! At Make & Take Gourmet, you can prepare enough meals for a month in under two hours, or you can have them prepare the meals for you. Sixteen entrees are offered each month. All you need to do is sign up for an exciting in-store session or call Make & Take Gourmet to have your meals made for you.
It’s easy to register for a session and raise money for Jowonio. All you have to do is go to the website at www.makeandtakegourmet.com. Register for a session to make 6 or 12 meals, and on the checkout page, enter “Jowonio School” in the “notes” box. You can also call to register and mention Jowonio School. 10% of each purchase will be donated back to Friends of Jowonio to support the programs of Jowonio School.
- Target Card: If you have a Target Visa or Target card, through the Take Charge of Education program, Target will donate to Jowonio 1% of purchases made at Target and Target.com, and 1/2% of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere. More that 9 million cardholders and 106,000 schools participate in this program. To designate Jowonio, call 1-800-316-6142 or sign up online at target.com/tcoe
- Box Tops for Education: Just clip the “Box Tops for Education” symbols from any General Mills cereal or food boxes and turn them in to one of the classrooms or the front desk. In addition to the box tops, Jowonio can earn additional money if you shop online at the Betty Crocker Catalog or from Box Tops for Education Visa Cards. For more information, contact Cynthia Johnson at the front desk or visit www.boxtops4education.com.
