Jowonio is very fortunate to receive financial support from many of the friends, families and alumni who have been part of the school over its 35-year history. Jowonio’s programs and infrastructure have also been strengthened by generous support from local foundations and businesses. A complete listing of contributors for the most recent fiscal year can be found in Jowonio's 2008-2009 Annual Giving Report.

After you click “Make A Donation”, you will see the Friends of Jowonio PayPal page. You may then make a secure donation using a major credit card or PayPal account. In the Purpose box, please type “Donation”. If you wish, you may also type in the name of a specific program or project you wish to support, for example, "Trike Town”, “Scholarships”, Bunny Room”, etc.

Recent Grants Awarded to Jowonio

Over the past few months our school has been very fortunate to receive funding from a number of organizations whose support is crucial in making Jowonio a special place. We are delighted to recognize these recent funders.

The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism Grant
We are thrilled to receive funding for the fourth consecutive year from the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. Read more about how this grant helps support our Family Foundations Program.

The Allyn Foundation
$22,000 Challenge Grant
to support the Trike Town & Amphitheater Project. In order to receive the full grant, Jowonio needs to raise a matching amount in cash and in-kind donations. This presents an exciting opportunity for our donors to see their contributions matched by a grantor. So far, $2500 has been raised as a qualifying match. We hope you will consider helping us reach the remaining goal of $19,500.

United Way of Central New York
$5,250 to make it possible for Jowonio to hire a financial management consultant who specializes in NYS Education Department’s complex reimbursement and appeal processes

The John Ben Snow Foundation
$15,000
to support the Trike Town and Amphitheater Project

The Gifford Foundation
$14,000
to support the Videography Project and Donor Management Software

United Way of Central New York's Capacity Building Fund
$8,000
to support School Technology

Our sincere appreciation goes to these wonderful community organizations for their support of Jowonio.
